Welcome to the British and Irish Paediatric Pathology Association's new website.
BRIPPA is a professional association of medical doctors who specialise in Paediatric and Perinatal Pathology - the diagnostic pathology of the the fetus, placenta, infant and child. The Association has about 80 members, most of whom are currently in practice in public hospitals in the UK and Ireland.
The Association runs an interpretative Paediatric Histopathology External Quality Assurance (EQA) Scheme which is overseen by the National Quality Assurance Advisory Panel (NQAAP) and the Royal College of Pathologists' Histopathology and Cytopathology Interpretative EQA Steering Committee.

You may be aware that MBRRACE-UK have been commissioned to deliver the national Maternal, Newborn and Infant Clinical Outcome Review Programme taking over from the work carried out in the past by CMACE.

As you may know, as part of the MBRRACE-UK programme of work we are conducting a series of national confidential enquiries on a rolling programme of topics. The invitation for new topic proposals for the 'perinatal' morbidity and mortality confidential enquiry which will be run during 2015 has opened and will be open from now until 31st December 2013.

Relevant information about how to propose a topic, including the topic proposal form (which must be completed in orderthat a topic can be considered), can be found on the topic proposal webpage on the MBRRACE-UK website.
